On the weekend of August 22, I was happy to be a part of Heather and Brandon’s big day! We covered the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner on the 21st at the church, and then the ceremony and reception on Saturday. The photos that we took were uploaded earlier today so make sure and check them out!

Here is their case insert:

I have uploaded the reception video to the page for Shawn and Emily’s wedding. Check it out!

In late 2008, we experimented heavily with doing 1 or 2 camera wedding videos using a crew of 1 or 2 people. This was a radical departure from our historical methodology of always using a crew of 3 and using 3 or 4 cameras.

It’s been about a year, and looking back, I personally have not been satisfied with the quality of the videos. While there is really nothing ‘wrong’ with the ones we’ve done, or with using the 1-man method… to me using 3 guys is just a lot better. It takes more time in post production (essentially doubling the amount of time to edit), but the videos are just more interesting, especially the ceremony portion. There is opportunity to get a lot more shots of the wedding party and guests when you have other people running the cameras.

Effective immediately, all packages are being reworked. The Ceremony portion will have a crew of 3, and use a minimum of 3 cameras, but up to 4 cameras depending on the size of the wedding. Additonally reception coverage will be handled with a crew of 2 and 2 cameras. Prices are to be determined and will posted when they are figured out.

We still have some upcoming 1-man weddings, but all future bookings will use the multi-man, multi-camera methodology.
