The Carnegie Carnival is a fundraising project that benefits the Carnegie Visual Arts Center in historic Decatur. The Mardi-Gras style celebration was first presented in 2012 and has grown every year since its inception. The idea behind all the events is to promote art, creativity, family fun, and the revitalization of downtown Decatur Alabama.
In 2014 I began filming the Carnegie Carnival parade for the Carnegie Visual Arts Center. The parade runs through historic downtown beginning on Second Avenue and ending on the North end of Bank Street near the Old State Bank building. If you're in Decatur Alabama and have not come out to see this event, you are really missing out! I am blown away every year by both the amazing float designs and the incredible crowds that line the downtown streets.
Below you can see all the media I've shot for the Carnegie over the years. Enjoy!
