2024 Decatur Christmas Parade
This year’s Christmas Parade was brought to the city of Decatur Alabama by the Decatur Young Professional’s. The theme was “Lights, Camera, Christmas!” - A fitting theme if I do say so myself! The parade was held on Monday December 2, 2024 at 6:00 PM and started on 2nd Ave and concluded at the “Enchanted Forest” near the Daiken Amphitheater (Founder’s Park) off Bank Street in historic downtown Decatur, Alabama. The Enchanted Forest is a trail of lighted and themed Christmas trees along with walking paths at the Daiken Amphitheater. Each year dozens of local businesses and individuals work together to create stunning rows of beautifully ornamented trees for the community to enjoy!
At the conclusion of the parade, Mr. and Mrs. Claus along with Anna and Elsa were at Founder’s Park as well for photo ops! It was an exciting time as the lines wrapped all throughout the park. If you missed this, be on the look out for another stellar parade in December 2025!

Normally I’m out in the street following the parade and shooting video and photos along the way. But this year, we had our daughter with us and she’s old enough now to want to see and all that, so I stood in the crowd with her and we watched it from the sidelines. In some of these clips, I’m actually holding her! Enjoy!
