DONT STOP READING BECAUSE YOU ASSOCIATE THE OUTLET WITH “OUTDATED” “SCRATCH and DENT” or “REFURBISHED”. THAT IS NOT ACCURATE. I bought a brand new recent model $4,000 15” Alienware Laptop for $2,100 from the outlet.

STEP 0

PATIENCE!

The only way to save the maximum amount (nearly 50%) on Dell laptops and desktops is to combine the discounts from any current sales/codes WITH the code Dell emails you. So what I recommend is (1) Set aside your budget, say $2000, (2) Check the Dell site regularly, (3) Make sure you’re on the Dell OUTLET email deals. Here you can see current sales and coupons that may apply to what you want to buy. Take note of any special codes. You’ll want to check REGULARLY (i.e. daily) because this gets updated fairly often and you don’t want to miss out. Many times these are “LIMITED QUANTITY” uses so first come first serve applies, especially on the computer side of things.

STEP 3

Select whatever category you want from the main page above (XPS Laptops is a super popular category) and then I always sort by price High to Low, because many times you can get insane deals on the higher end models.

The SECRET FILTER

Find the Product Condition Filter and select “NEW” to see all the new models available within the outlet!

My understanding is, these are most commonly systems that were built and either delivered and not accepted or never shipped out to begin with.

You can also add any other filters but always keep the sort as price high to low.
