Carnegie Carnival Parades

The Carnegie Carnival is a fundraising project that benefits the Carnegie Visual Arts Center in historic Decatur. The Mardi-Gras style celebration was first presented in 2012 and has grown every year since its inception. The idea behind all the events is to promote art, creativity, family fun, and the revitalization of downtown Decatur Alabama. The parade runs through historic downtown on Bank Street and Second Avenue.

In 2014 I began filming the Carnegie Carnival parade and have been honored to do it every since (except 2021 when I was out of town). Every year brings a new batch of fun and surprises and I hope you have the opportunity to enjoy the festivities if you haven’t already.
