ARE YOU A VICTIM OF A “SHOOT AND BURN” PHOTOGRAPHER?

“Shoot and Burn” refers to photographers who only give online galleries or thumb drives to their clients. Professional photographers view this a huge disservice because it forces the client (you) to do all the work after the wedding usually with no help from the photographer you hired. In recent years, the #1 regret of most brides is not hiring a wedding videographer. This is quickly followed by hiring a photographer who just gave them an online gallery.

Over the years I’ve had requests from brides who asked me to help them get an album or get them prints - even though I wasn’t their wedding photographer. While I’ve helped them out, I’ve never offered this a public service… until now. If your wedding photographer only gave you an online gallery or thumb drive, and you now wish you had an album and wedding prints, I WILL HELP YOU!

HOW IT WORKS - IT’S EASY!

  1. Find that missing thumb drive or download folder where your wedding images are.

  2. Find your print release, usually part of the wedding contract.

  3. Make a copy of your images another thumb drive and mail it to me or hand deliver it to me.

  4. I’ll upload them to my gallery service where we will pick photos for your album.

  5. I’ll design the album based on image selections and have it printed and delivered to you.

ALBUM DETAILS

These are REAL albums. Not press printed books. What that means is these are quality hand crafted heirlooms you’ll have for the rest of your lives. I’m giving you the same book I deliver to my actual wedding clients and they all love them.

Size - You will be receiving a 10”x10” album with 30 pages (aka 15 spreads). This is my most popular size.

Cover Material - I use premier leather. These whole hides are hand cut to order and create high-end luxurious covers. Premier leather is soft to the touch and includes natural texture characteristics that are not defects but natural authenticity. Choose a color - black or white.

Insert Boards - Insert boards are the mounting substrate used to create lay-flat pages. These come in 2 colors and can be mixed or matched with your album cover material color.

Paper Type - I use what’s called “Deep Matte” for all my albums. This is a high end paper characterized by a non-glossy, soft to the touch surface with nice color ranges that are perfect for skin tones.

Endleaves - Endleaves are protective paper spreads that separate the inside pages from the cover. Your album will come with smooth black endleaves.

Cameo - A small insert photo in the front cover. All my albums include this feature.

Name - The bride and groom’s first name on the album cover. All my albums include this feature.

THE TEXAS BRIDE

I had a bride who found me online (yes, I’m in Alabama) and she begged me to help me with her wedding photos. The photographer delivered edits that were so bad it was unbelievable. The photos were “hot” as in, too white which meant detail in the dress was lost. Looked like a white sheet. The photos were also noisy and grainy because the wedding was indoors and the photographer didn’t know how to use a flash. As a result, the exposures were all messed up. We set up a dropbox link and she uploaded her 5 favorite photos she wanted fixed and I did what I could to salvage the JPGs.

That’s how all this began. Since then I’ve helped a lot of brides with photos and albums and prints. It’s more common than you would think because there are unqualified and untrained people out there saying they’re wedding photographers, when they really aren’t.

REASONS

There are 2 main reasons why a bride isn’t happy with her wedding photos.

  1. She chose a photographer who put a “trendy filter” over the images that made them a certain color like brown or green and now she realizes this was a mistake because true to life tones and colors are more pleasing.

  2. The bride didn’t get enough photos (or good quality photos) of herself, or her and her new husband, due to a variety of conditions such as: a natural light photographer couldn’t work in a dimly lit location or accurately shoot sunset photos, or the schedule was jacked up and they ran out of time etc.

I’m not going to re edit all your wedding photos (unless you have access to actual RAW files (NEF, CR2 etc). If you do have RAW files or can get them, I will give them my true to life color treatment.

I recommend selecting your 5-10 MUST HAVE images for me to work on.
